Who we are
This website belongs to E.S Arts and Science College (Co-Ed), Villupuram (ESASC), R.S. No. 355/1, Ellischatram Road, Vazhudhareddy Village, Kandamanadi Post, Villupuram, Tamil Nadu 605 401. In this policy, "we" and "the college" mean ESASC.
What we collect, and why
We only collect details that you type into a form on this website. We ask for as little as we can.
Admission enquiry form
Most students who apply are under 18, so this form is filled in by a parent or guardian. We ask for:
- the parent or guardian's name and phone number
- the student's name
- the course the student is interested in
- your district
- a message, if you want to add one
We use these details only to call you back about admission and to answer your questions.
Grievance and feedback forms
These forms are for students already studying at the college. We collect only what we need to look into a grievance or act on feedback, such as your name, course and year, and what you want to tell us. [TODO: final list of fields for each form.]
Your consent
Every form has a tick box. By ticking it, you agree to us using your details as described here. For a student under 18, the parent or guardian gives this consent, as required by India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Where your details are kept
Form entries are stored in a Google Sheet that only authorised college staff can open. The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which also checks that a real person, not a bot, is sending each form.
We keep enquiry details for [TODO: how long, e.g. until the end of that year's admissions], and grievance and feedback records for [TODO: how long]. After that we delete them.
Who we share them with
We do not sell your details or share them with anyone for advertising. College staff see them only when they need to, for example to call you back or to look into a grievance. We would share them with authorities only if the law requires it.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or Google Analytics. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not identify you.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what details we hold about you
- correct details that are wrong
- delete your details
- stop using your details, by withdrawing your consent
